Reminiscent of old fashioned make up boxes, this Beauty box is made from southern Japanese hemlock wood.
Simple plastic boxes or boxes with handles might be convenient, but there's something about the makeup box which sits in a fixed place for just you which adds dignity to the daily regime of applying make up. This will become a piece to keep and cherish or gift to someone special.
The southern Japanese hemlock is an evergreen conifer classified under the pine family and the tsuga genus.
It is on the light and soft side, but has a beautiful straight grain and dense texture. The inside of the makeup box lid contains a mirror.
The southern Japanese hemlock wood has been given a polyurethane surface coating. With such a simple, clean design, you can also place in other areas of your home.
