Each Ori Ori Place Mat is carefully handmade using a traditional hand-weaving machine and features “Tali Saori” weaving, known for its freeform, expressive style. No two mats are exactly alike, making each one a unique piece of textile art.

Crafted from carefully selected Oshu yarn—considered one of the world’s top three wools alongside Huddersfield (UK) and Biella (Italy)—these mats offer exceptional texture, vivid colour, and lasting quality. The Oshu thread, born from the rich waters of the Kiso River in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, is especially prized for its luxurious wool and Kasuri-dyed gradation effects.
