Cohana Sewing Shears with Lacquered Handles and Gold Leaf – Shunuri

Handcrafted in Japan, these sewing shears pair a Seki City stainless steel blade — Gifu Prefecture's historic home of cutlery-making — with a lacquered handle finished by artisans at a long-established Aichi lacquer workshop.

The Shunuri finish uses a vivid vermilion lacquer, traditionally regarded in Japan as an auspicious colour, set off by hand-applied gold leaf detailing on the handle.
