Mihoko Seki Apron – Designed by Rumi Tomoda
With the feel of traditional folk costume and the comforting familiarity of something your grandmother might have worn, these aprons evoke the nostalgic, dreamlike world of Mihoko Seki. Each piece is both everyday and ethereal—rooted in memory, yet entirely fresh.
The apron pattern was created by textile designer Rumi Tomoda, whose collaboration brings a beautifully considered silhouette to Seki’s hand-dyed prints. The result is a truly stylish and functional garment—simple, wearable, and full of quiet charm.

About Mihoko Seki
Kyoto-based stencil dyeing artist Mihoko Seki creates work that is whimsical yet quietly unsettling. Born in Yokohama in 1980, she studied under Mari Horie and was selected for the Kokuten Exhibition’s Crafts Division in 2006 and 2007. Her delicate style continues to bridge the fantastical and the familiar in unexpected ways.
