Hands On Workshop (“HOW”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website (the “Site”), a directory and marketplace for contemporary craft workshops, events, makers and handmade products, alongside our own curated shop.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What We Do
Hands On Workshop has two parts. The Directory is a marketplace where independent workshop hosts, event organisers, stores and galleries (“Listing Partners”) can list their business, workshops, events or products for visitors to discover. Some listings are free; others are paid, including optional Featured Listing upgrades. The Shop is a small range of handmade and craft products sold directly by Hands On Workshop.
2. Listings and Listing Partners
Listing Partners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listing, and for any workshop, event, product or service they offer or deliver. Hands On Workshop is not a party to any transaction, booking, or agreement between a visitor and a Listing Partner, and does not guarantee the quality, safety or availability of anything a Listing Partner offers.
We may review, edit, decline, suspend or remove a listing at our discretion, including for inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or inappropriate content.
Paid listings and Featured Listing upgrades are processed through our payment provider, Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated at time of purchase.
3. The Shop
Products sold directly by Hands On Workshop are subject to our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy. Prices, availability and descriptions may change without notice.
4. Accounts
If you register an account to submit a listing or make a purchase, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, to submit false or misleading listing content, to upload viruses or malicious code, or to interfere with the Site’s operation or security. We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms.
6. Content You Submit
If you submit listing content, reviews, comments or other material, you grant Hands On Workshop a licence to display and use that content on the Site. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
7. Third-Party Links and Tools
The Site may link to third-party websites or use third-party tools, including payment processing. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for third-party content, sites, or services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability
The Site and Directory are provided “as is”. Except as required by the Australian Consumer Law, we don’t warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any Listing Partner’s workshop, event, product or service will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hands On Workshop is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or dealings with any Listing Partner.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Hands On Workshop against any claim arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
