This is the essential accessory for your pencil case a neat 15cm ruler made of solid brass.
To make it the brass plate is pulled out of the heat, adjusted, bent, and adjusted again. The measurements carved with laser engraving to create a ruler. Because rulers are simple tools, delicate made-in-Japan techniques are required. 
Brand new, it has a shiny golden lustre, but the more you use it, the deeper the colour becomes, changing to look like an antique tool.
